How do I control USB device passthrough?

The Leostream Connection Broker provides control over USB device passthrough when your users connect to their desktops using Leostream Connect. The Leostream USB management feature requires functionality on the client device and remote desktop. You must manually install any drivers required by your particular devices on the remote desktop.

To use the Leostream USB device passthrough feature:

1. On the client side, install Leostream Connect with the Enable USB over IP task is selected.
2. On the desktop side, install the Leostream Agent with the Enable USB over IP task selected.
3. In the user's policy under USB Device Management, select the Allow Connection Broker to manage USB passthrough option.
4. Use the USB Device Management section in the user's policy to configure which devices the user is allowed to passthrough to their remote desktop.

If your policy does not contain USB Device Management section, then your Leostream license does not enable the USB passthrough feature. Please, contact sales@leostream.com to add this feature to your Leostream license.

See the "USB Device Management" section of the Leostream Connect Administrator's Guide for more information on using Leostream USB device passthrough.
